Cabernet Sauvignon Mas de la Plata is one of Spain's most iconic and innovative red wines. The grapes come from calcareous soils located in the Penedes appellation, where the plants enjoy favorable climatic conditions for the production of quality wines. After the harvest, the grapes are fermented in wood. The finished wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. The color is deep crimson with garnet hues. It is a wine characterized aby a good density and a complex aromatic profile with notes of plum, black cherry, and mulberry, followed aby herbal, spicy, and cocoa hints. On the palate, it is rich and powerful, dry and harmonious, dense and meaty. The tannins are velvety and the finish is long and mineral. Perfect in general with meat, it is a must-try with roast lamb or beef stew.
