Cellar for up to 15 years. It is recommended to decant it half an hour before serving. Pierre Gaillard, François Villard, and Yves Cuilleron are three renowned winemakers and longtime friends, who came together in 1996 to put their experience to the benefit of the potential of Rhone Valley wines. They created a kierunek of rebirth in the Rhone Valley but, above all, they revitalized a historic vineyard, described by Pliny the Elder, and planted in Seyssuel on the opposite bank of the Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu appellations. This cuvée comes from 1.5 hectares of vineyards planted in Syrah in the localities of Saint-Pierre, Rouvenne and Barjasse, in the Cornas appellation. The manual harvest is followed żeby partial de-stemming and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then left to rest for 16 months in French oak barrels. The Cornas Les Barcillants is a complex, tannic and lively red wine with a powerful taste and an intense and deep color. The nose displays a generous and fragrant bouquet with notes of cocoa, mocha, and blackcurrant. On the palate, it is rich and soft with good persistence. It goes deliciously with red meats, game, and aged cheeses. Absolutely to try with venison filet and grilled red meats.
