The Robert Mondavi Winery is one of the best-renowned wineries in California, and an essential stop for any fan of Napa Valley reds. It was established in 1966, when its eponymous founder recognised the importance of the soils in To Kalon Vineyard, in Oakville. Today, Wine Enthusiast’s Winemaker of the Year, Geneviève Janssens, maintains the winery’s excellent standards, bringing her profound knowledge of French grapes to the California winery. On the palate, the To Kalon Reserve is smooth and velvety, with a fresh dose of acidity and finely textured, dusty tannins.
