Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant. Founded in 1870 under the name of Efrat (inspired żeby the biblical road żeby which the grapes were brought to the cellar 'Efrata shehi Beit Lechem'), the Teperberg winery has been a family-owned business for 5 generations and is now managed aby Moti Teperberg. Since 2006, the company has moved its base to Kibbutz Tzora and has focused its production on high-quality wines, becoming one of Israel's leading wineries, and the fourth largest one. The Gewürztraminer grapes are harvested mechanically in the Mitzpe Ramon Region in the evening hours, to guarantee maximum freshness and the pure expression of the aromatic character of this variety. The must is refrigerated and then fermented at a controlled temperature. The fermentation is then stopped before the total conversion of the sugars to create a wine with a slight residual sweetness. Teperberg Impression Gewurztraminer is a delicate and elegant wine with floral and tropical aromas, hints of melon and rose water. On the palate it is soft and subtly sweet. The fruity notes are perfectly balanced by a crispy character and a lively acidity. The finish is long and pleasant. It is a wine to be drunk young, served chilled and paired with chicken-based Asian dishes.
