Enjoy it now, or cellar for a few more years. Decanting is optional, up to 30 minutes before serving. Bosquet des Boiron is a dry red wine, packed with youthful character. On the nose, you can discover aromas of cassis, blackberry and sour red cherry, with underlying hints of garrigue - a hallmark of the Rhône Valley. Bosquet des Papes is a family winery, currently in the hands of the sixth generation of winemakers, Nicolas Boiron and his wife Jeanne-Claire. The winery can trace its origins back to 1860, and many of its vineyards are almost as old, with an average vine age of 50 years. The Boirons own prime plots all across the Côtes du Rhône and Chateauneuf du Pape, and strive to create wines that represent the immense complexity of the region. Bosquet des Boiron is a blend of lively red grapes: 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Cinsault. They were fermented and matured in concrete tanks, granting a sprightly, young character without oak influence. It is medium to full-bodied, with a medley of spice and fruits on the palate. Look for hints of strawberry, black pepper, Provençal herbs, and a long finish. This Côtes du Rhône can be enjoyed young, or aged for a few years. Drink it alongside charcuterie, beef stew, or tomato-rich pasta.
