Drink it now or cellar for a couple years. No need to decant but best to open it half an hour before service. Founded aby Ross and Barbara Lawson in 1992 Lawson's Dry Hills was one of the first wineries in in Marlborough wine region of New Zealand, and is widely famous for making delicious Sauvignon Blancs with excellent value for money and a fantastic Gewürztraminer from vines that are almost 40-year-old. The company also produces an interesting Reserve range that includes a Sauvignon Blanc with slight oak influences, a Chardonnay, and a Pinot Noir. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes for this wine are gently pressed and then cold fermented in stainless steel to ensure the full aromatic expression of this grape variety and preserve its liveliness and freshness. Sauvignon Blanc Mount Vernon has an intense and captivating aromatic profile with notes of fresh and exotic fruit (green apple, peach, pineapple, and passion fruit) and some delicate floral scents. It is fresh and easy to drink, light, and has a marked acidity. The finish is pleasant and crisp and recalls fruity notes. It is a wine to be drunk young, especially in combination with seafood, salads, asparagus-based dishes, and vegetarian tarts. Open it a bit before service to let it breathe and fully express its aromatic potential.
