Cellar for up to 6 years. Serve chilled. Rombauer Vineyards was founded aby Koerner and Joan Rombauer who moved to Napa in 1972 and bought a home on the property where the winery sits today. It was only in 1980 that they made their first Rombauer wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon, which the family is still making to this day. Rombauer has also earned a special place in Napa Valley history thanks to their first-class winemaking facilities which have been used by legendary wineries like Duckhorn, Spottswoode, and Dominus. These days the winery is in the hands of the second and third generations of the family who are passionate about sustainable viticulture. Fruit for this wine is sourced from top vineyards in Napa and Sonoma. The grapes are pressed while the fruit is still cool with the majority of the juice fermented in stainless steel tanks. The rest ferments in French oak barrels and concrete to add extra complexity and polish. The result is a vibrant Sauvignon Blanc that’s bursting with pink grapefruit, zingy lime, apricot and honey, while the first sip reveals a mouthwatering acidity and well-rounded texture. The pure, clean finish and ripe orchard fruit make this a great wine to enjoy as an aperitif or a match for seafood, sushi, summer salads, or spicy Asian dishes.
